Top golfer Martin Wynne took a big scalp in the King Harmon this evening when he beat favourite Michael Rush in the semi-final. A disappointed Michael Rush had successfully hidden the news during a meeting this evening but in true investigative style the Clubs intrepid reporter crafted a classic media ambush to break the news. Martin, who was unavailable for comment, now awaits the winners of the second semi-final between Gary Carty and Jonathan Egan.

Top Golfers represent Boyle in the Holmpatrick Cup
Two of the clubs finest golfers, James Shivnan and Michael Gilmartin will represent Boyle tomorrow in the Holmpatrick Cup in Castlerea. Tee off is 12.45. Both players have wide experience in representing the club, James having played many times for the Cecil Ewing Team while Michael is an accomplished “Connacht Shielder”. Good luck to both.

Thursday night’s Competition was won by Jimmy Dwyer 29pts, 2nd Padraig O’Connell 28pts, 3rd Michael Rush 25pts. Fridays Scramble was won by Gary Carty, Padraig Sheridan & Lewis Shaw, 2d Jonathan Egan, Maura O’Farrell & Seamus Gallagher, 3rd Michael Simon, Jack Sheridan & Ted Hestor
